We have a full staff of watchmakers and jewelers. Each is a highly skilled and certified professional.  Our watchmakers must attend continuing education classes either at AWCI or WOSTEP in Switzerland every year. This is essential in staying abreast of new technologies and advances in the field.

Modern Repair Warranty
As a factory service center for several large watch manufacturing houses, Old Father Time offers a one (1) year warranty on our *modern Swiss and American watch repairs.  If a problem arises following our repair, we will, during the twelve months immediately following our initial service, at our discretion, repair or replace any damaged parts and/or correct the repair execution.  All other rights resulting from the faulty execution of services are expressly excluded.  Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by accident, misuse, incorrect application, or negligence and does not cover batteries, case, strap or bracelet, crystals, water resistance or return shipping charges.  Warranty is void if our service department discloses instances of tampering.  Partial repairs are not covered by warranty.

Old Father Time Accutron Repair Services

Accutron Repair Warranty
Unless otherwise stated, Old Father Time Vintage Repairs* are warranted, to our customers, for timekeeping, for a period of six months from the date of original repair. While perfection is always our goal, no warranties are, or can be, made regarding achieving the accuracy standards of timekeeping asserted by the original manufacturers when these watches were NEW. Timekeeping is adjusted as originally prescribed by the manufacturer at the time of return shipment to the customer, and has been found to be consistent for at least 7 days prior to shipment.  However, it is mutually understood that these watches are now antiques.   Adjustments to timekeeping ARE SOMETIMES necessary after any repair or overhaul and while the watch adjusts to the owner's normal use.  We've found that adjustments can also be required after  "rough shipping".  Bulova produced numerous service bulletins on the subject during the 1960s and 1970s.  New problems can also arise after the initial repair is performed .   We will, therefore, make timekeeping adjustments throughout the warranty period as needed.  Our warranty is void if we determine instances of abuse, misuse, improper application, or tampering and excludes batteries, case, strap or bracelet, crystals, normal wear and tear, electronic coils, water resistance and return shipping costs.  Partial repairs are not covered by warranty.  Our Mail-In Repair form may also be used with warranty repairs.

Receiving an Estimate
Our To receive an estimate for repair of your timepiece, simply fill out our Mail-In Repair Form and include it in the box with your watch(es) to us at the address shown at the bottom of the repair form.  Within a few days of receipt of your package, we'll send you an email with a detailed estimate as an attached pdf file.  We'll then wait to hear from you.
 If you decide to have your watch repaired after reviewing the estimate, no charge is applied until the work is complete and we're readying your package for shipment.
If you decide not to have your watch repaired, we'll prepare your watch for shipment by Federal Express for delivery within one week.

Whether it's a vintage Accutron repair or a Modern Swiss or American timepiece, our estimate includes a detailed evaluation by a professional watchmaker with specific procedures involving labor, parts, optional services and return shipping and insurance.

Packing & Shipping Suggestions
Pack your watch in a box that's approximately 10" X 8" X 6" in size, or a size that can't easily be lost by the carrier.  We suggest wrapping the item in bubble-wrap, and then packing in styrofoam peanuts or void air bags.  We recommend the use of USPS Registered Mail, Insured for shipping timepieces to us.  Please make no reference to the contents on the outside of your package.  Our address label, at the bottom of our
Mail In Repair Form, may be used for US Postal Service.  We don't recommend using UPS.  Click HERE to see why.  Priority Mail is not the safest way to send Accutrons to us, but if you do use it, be sure to insure the package.  When using only "Delivery Confirmation", no signature is obtained and the mail carrier can simply drop the package outside near a mail box (if there is one).

Package carefully, but Use only packing that can be discarded.  Because of the volume of repairs that come into the shop each week, we cannot be responsible for personal or manufacturer's boxes.  All packaging is discarded.
